Zoom Webinar

Please join us for a talk with Colombian author and International Human Rights Clinic alumna Salomé Gómez-Upegui (LLM 18’) to discuss her debut book “Feminista por accidente” (Accidental Feminist). A collection of essays in Spanish that melds feminist theory with the author’s personal experience as a Latina woman who came of age in a deeply conservative culture, the book serves as an introductory title for those who know little to nothing about feminism but want to begin to understand it. Gómez-Upegui will discuss her essays on a wide array of subjects, including female anger, violence, voice, abortion, and self-love, with Colombian feminist activist Vanessa Daza Castillo (LLM 21′). The event will be held in English.
